the bookman is alive and well after recent fire
March 31, 2009We thank the observant passerby who called in the fire on the evening of March 20. Thank you to the careful and quick response of the fire-police department of Grand Haven, and also to the support we have received from our community friends. We were able to open on Wednesday, March 25.

I am so glad that everything is (relatively!) well. The morning after the fire, I saw the headline on the Tribue and then drove immediately to the bookstore. I was relieved to see that the damage was not as bad as itg could have been, and was very happy when the you returned to business that next week.
